This was a class group project where I worked as theoretical Puppet and Mask designer. The overall design concept for this project was a fusion of different asian aesthetics. The Puppet world was that of the Fairies, where only Titania, Oberon, and Puck would be actors and the rest of the Fairie and magical world would be made up of puppets - either human controlled of mechanical. The Fairie world was inspired by Indian mythological creatures and beasts, and was set in a Bollywood cafe in New York City. The human world was set in China town, therefore a lion dance puppet was designed for the wedding celebration at the end of the play.
