Describing how sound works in the ear

'Can You Hear My Hands?' was a production, performed in a vaudeville-esque style, created to be fully accessible to deaf audience members. Ed Chevy, the lead actor and driver of the performance, is a completely deaf performer and musician who with Michele Morris (as ASL interpreter) and HTY's artistic director Eric Johnson, wanted to create a piece around deaf culture, introducing children to American Sign Language and the science behind how the ear works. This performance was aimed for audiences 8+ and was our Halloween production. I worked as the Scenic and Props designer, and Scenic Artist.
