'Behold the Ghost' is a short film, approx. 10 min long set in colonial New Zealand. It deals with issues of domestic violence, gender identity, and alcoholism.
This design involved two sets, the forest and the house, both built in a small studio space. The main scenic element within this design was the tree where the father dies (we named 'The Daddy Death Tree'). This was built with foam, chicken wire, paper-mache, tree branches, and a lot of salt for a winter glistening effect.
